Are you looking for a creative pause in the middle of everyday life? Welcome to our relaxing one-time Ceramics for Beginners course, where you can forget your rush and spend an enjoyable moment working with clay and your hands.
The course is suitable for everyone, regardless of skill level — no prior experience is needed. With guidance from the instructor, you will create your own functional or decorative piece while learning different hand-building techniques such as pinching, slab building, and using molds. We will also explore a variety of decorating methods.
The studio offers a wide range of tools to support your creative process, and the course fee includes clay, engobes, and glazes. After the course, the studio staff will take care of glazing and firing your work, and you will be able to collect your finished piece at a later agreed date.
We meet from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at our studio in Lauttasaari. Expect a relaxed, inspiring moment with clay in good company. We warmly welcome you to come and experience the joy of creating!
This course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced ceramics enthusiasts.
The course fee includes instruction, clay, a wide selection of engobes and underglazes, firing and glazing of the works, coffee and tea, free use of tools, and VAT at 25.5%.
Registration is binding once the course fee has been paid. A 50% refund will be granted if cancellation is made no later than 72 hours before the start of the course. In case of illness, we will try to reschedule your participation to another similar course. The course will take place once there are at least 6 participants.
